Arousal State

The Mathematical Man’s Framework to Trigger Your Sexual Awakening

By Zahav Elyon, PhD

The more intense the emotional surge, the more likely you are to act.

Most men who struggle with desire, attraction, or intimacy assume the problem is a lack of skill, confidence, or experience. After a decade of investigation, hundreds of self-experiments, a mathematical model, and more honest self-examination than I ever expected, I arrived at a different conclusion entirely.

The Story Behind the Framework

At 35, I had never been in a romantic relationship. I had liked two women in my life; both had rejected me on the first date. The shame I carried was not the ordinary kind. It ran deep enough that one evening, sitting at a restaurant with friends, I noticed a woman across the room who stirred something in me, and I could not bring myself to tell the man sitting next to me that I found her attractive. Even that felt like too much exposure.

That night became a turning point. I reached out to a world-renowned dating coach, and on our first call, when he asked what I needed help with, I broke down and cried for five minutes before I could get a word out.

I flew halfway around the world for in-person coaching. On one of our first sessions together, he pointed to a woman sitting on the grass in a park, journalling, and said: “All you have to do is show a genuine interest in what she is doing.” I stood frozen. I was about to say I couldn’t do it. And then something shifted. A switch flipped. One moment I was standing motionless next to my coach, and the next I was on the grass beside her, talking.

I came home and spent two years approaching women at malls. Gradually, I started getting dates. I believed I had mastered something. Then Covid arrived and stripped it all away overnight. When restrictions lifted and I walked back into a mall for the first time, I spent hours unable to approach anyone. I eventually asked a woman for directions, then went home, tired and defeated.

That was when it became undeniable: approaching women is not a skill. It is entirely a function of emotional state, which can shift in an instant, in either direction, for reasons that have nothing to do with practice.

Understanding that was important. But it was not the discovery that led to this book.

The discovery came later, on an ordinary afternoon while running errands. A woman walked past me on the street. In the moment I saw her, every cell in my body seemed to come alive. A surge of energy moved from my core outward through my entire body. I had never experienced anything like it. Every technique I had learned from my coach became secondary. I had one burning question: what just happened to me?

I began investigating. I tested abstinence practices, explored Taoist approaches to sexual energy, experimented with exercise and nutrition, and used systematic self-experimentation to document what amplified or diminished the phenomenon. I conducted hundreds of careful experiments over several years. I built a mathematical model to describe the dynamics formally.

I came to call the internal condition that precedes the surge Arousal State, and the surge itself Sexual Awakening. This book is the result of that investigation.

What This Book Is and Is Not

This is not dating advice. It is not pick-up-artist tactics, motivational self-help, or a substitute for therapy.

It is not Taoist mysticism either, though it draws on Taoist observations about sexual energy. Every concept in this book is explained through observable physiology and psychology, in plain analytical language, without metaphysical claims.

What it is: a secular, rigorous framework built by a PhD through years of first-person experimentation, for understanding and deliberately accessing a specific physiological state. One that most men never knew existed, and fewer still have tried to explain with any precision.

The framework is supported by a mathematical model in the appendix. The exercises are practical and progressive. The theory is explained clearly enough that you will understand why each step works, not just what to do.

The Core Concepts

Arousal State

The sustained internal condition produced by the deliberate accumulation of sexual tension. Think of it as fuel, built up over time through specific physical and mental practice, and held at a level that most men never approach. The greater the Arousal State, the more powerful what follows.

Sexual Awakening

The sudden, overwhelming physical surge that occurs when accumulated sexual tension is released by a triggering event. Not a metaphor. A reproducible physiological event. The book teaches you to understand the conditions that make it possible, so that when the right moment arrives, the reaction can occur.

The S/P/M/T Framework

The book models desire through four quantifiable variables: S (stimulation), P (physical arousal), M (mental arousal), and T (sexual tension). These variables interact dynamically, each one influencing the others, and understanding their relationships is what makes the practice systematic rather than random.

Diagram showing the S/P/M/T framework from Arousal State: M (mental arousal) and P (physical arousal) connected by bidirectional arrows, with S (stimulation) driving P, and T (sexual tension) shown as a dormant variable under natural conditions.

The Mind-Body Connection

The feedback loop between mental and physical arousal that sits at the heart of the framework. Most men experience this loop passively and unconsciously. The book teaches you to navigate it deliberately: to know when to suppress the physical response in order to accumulate tension, and when to release it.

What’s Inside

Introduction — The story behind the framework, and the moment that changed everything.

Preparation — What this practice is, what it is not, how to approach it safely, and the difference between the craft and the art.

Physical Levels of Sexual Arousal — Learning to read your own body with precision: the anatomy, the five stages, and the quantitative model that makes the rest of the book tractable.

The Mind-Body Connection — How mental and physical arousal drive each other, and how to use that feedback loop intentionally.

Sexual Tension — The hidden variable. Under ordinary conditions it remains dormant. The book shows you how to activate and accumulate it.

The Tension-Release Paradox — Why holding back amplifies the eventual surge, and what the body’s natural safety valves reveal about the mechanics of desire.

The Relaxation Dilemma — The counterintuitive skill at the heart of the practice: how to stay at the edge of climax while deeply relaxing the body, and why this is both the hardest and the most important thing to learn.

Attaining Arousal State — The two concrete workflows, the switch-based method and the workflow of resonance, that make the state reproducible.

Sexual Awakening — Fuel, spark, and what happens when they meet. How to understand triggering events, how to find yours, and what the mathematical model predicts about the intensity of the experience.

Concluding Remarks — What this phenomenon did and did not resolve. An honest account of what I know, what I don’t, and why I chose to share it anyway.

Appendix: Mathematical Framework — A formal stochastic model for readers who want to understand the dynamics precisely. Not required for the practice, but it’s there.

Who This Is For

I wrote this book as a man, from male experience, about male physiology. The framework is specific to male embodiment and I am transparent about that scope.

It does not matter whether you have never been intimate with anyone or have had many partners. It does not matter whether you are socially confident or not. What matters is whether you are curious about this dimension of your own sexuality, and whether you are willing to approach it analytically and honestly.

If the story above resonated with you, this book was written for you.

About the Author

I hold a PhD and bring an analytical approach to everything I investigate. When the phenomenon described in this book first occurred to me, my instinct was not to accept it as mysterious. It was to reverse-engineer it.

I spent years doing exactly that: forming hypotheses, testing them, discarding what did not work, and refining what did. The result is a framework specific enough to be taught, honest enough to acknowledge its limits, and rigorous enough to satisfy a mind that does not accept vague promises.

I have one case study: myself. I cannot predict how this experience will affect different individuals. Some may find it empowering; others may find it intense or in conflict with their current circumstances. I publish this work because I believe that, as a scientist, a novel discovery carries a responsibility to be shared and evaluated by others.
